Giovanna Voltolina

Giovanna Voltolina, a graduate in Business Economics from Babson College (Boston, USA), embarked on her finance career at Merrill Lynch in Boston. Upon returning to Italy after a period in London, she joined the M&A team at Euromobiliare, a historic Italian investment bank that transitioned from HSBC to the Credito Emiliano Group, owned by entrepreneur and Max Mara patron Achille Maramotti.

Specializing in private equity transactions and excelling in operations and corporate governance, Giovanna has served as an operational advisor in various Italian and European companies, partnering with the pan-European fund Motion Private Equity Partners. Currently an independent investor, she actively promotes club deals in the European market and holds board positions at Sweet.ca S.p.A., Deghi S.p.A., Matipay S.p.A., and E-Novia S.p.A.

With over twenty years of experience in private equity operations across Europe, Giovanna has been involved in operations with companies such as Arcaplanet, Gruppo Argenta, Stroili Oro, Sparco, Omnipac, Altair, CellularLine, Next Hydraulics, and Sinceritas. Her extensive experience has led her to develop a unique investment model, focusing on three key axes in the selection of operations: a) human capital, b) the company's ability to create added value and have it recognized by the market, and c) value alignment with ownership.

Giovanna serves as an Operating Partner of Angel Company, the industrial holding of the Pertosa family. Furthermore, she also serves on the Remuneration Committee of E-Novia, a company listed on Euronext, known for its innovative products rooted in Italian technical-scientific and manufacturing excellence. In Sweet.ca, an Italian confectionery sector holding company, she oversees strategic activities and marketing plans as directed by the Board of Directors.

Giovanna is not only attentive to Diversity & Inclusion issues but actively involved in initiatives supporting female candidates for board roles, such as Ready for Board Women. She is a current member of Level20 and a mentor for students at Aiglon College, one of the world's top 50 IB high schools.
